UPDATED: *Terrible* cell phone problem. They have signs saying to speak on your phone only in the lobby, but they are posted in random places. Ppl speak on them like they are in their living rooms. They even FaceTime! If you can't survive without your phone for 1 hour, maybe you shouldn't be at the gym. I went to the front desk & complained a while back, but the girl said she couldn't do anything about it. Seriously? It's perfectly legal to post a no cell phones sign. The then-manager (?), who's now long gone, said he'd address the issue. He did not. Would it be so hard to put up signs at the top of the staircases asking you to speak on your phone in the lobby? No, no it's not.

No one cleans their machine. I am there for 1 hour or so every day & it is impressive if I see 1 person clean. Instead of posting signs about classes 1% of the members care about, how about signs asking people to clean up or stay off their phone?

The women's room can be a hairy mess. Have not seen the cleaning lady in months. All the paper towel dispensers throughout the gym malfunction constantly, so good luck to you.

machines need updating and fixing but gets the job done

Always clean and the people have manners. The trainers are very experienced

In relation to a review I saw in the past on another site, I used to go there later in the day on the weekend and I experienced them flashing the lights when it was almost closing time. Once, I was going down the stairs and came close to tripping. You can bet that if I had injured myself Crunch would have been subjected to a lawsuit.

Nothing gets fixed in a timely manner. When I first joined, I reported a broken machine. But nothing happened. So I told another person and more. 4 ppl in the span of 6 weeks were told. Each said they would take care of it. Ha. I ran into the maintenance person, & he said no one ever told him it needed fixing. He fixed it. The machines are not new, & the pictures you see on the postcard flyers are NOT this gym. I use the same machines often, & I can tell you what is wrong with each of them. The TVs have fuzzy channels, & once in a while you will see the channel you were watching yesterday has disappeared, & the line-up is totally different.

The trainers are ok. Many of them, mostly the guys, are on their phones when with clients. Go with the women. (Just know that even the trainers do not encourage their clients to clean the equipment they just used. You may want to sterilize whatever mat you are using!) Overall, the training services cost too much. Wait for a sale.

The parking lot is not well-kept. There are always potholes, esp. when making your way from the back to the front. Some are filled, some are not. My satellite radio goes out for a couple of seconds when I drive from that direction because you can't avoid the potholes. Beware in the winter when the sidewalk from the back to the front is not shoveled well. Parking in the back is creepy. I was told within the last year there are no cameras.

Great gym, very polite staff, clean. They have a room upstairs that can be used for personal purposes , whether it's dancing , weightlifting, or martial art training.

I have yet to take a class, but I feel like I have since I can always hear teachers. Some have the nerve to keep the classroom door open when teaching. Do they not realize how loud the music is? Those in the cardio area did not sign up for the class, & we don't want to hear it. We can barely hear our own music/tv. If there is a ventilation problem, FIX IT! Crunch raised the fees 2+ years ago, so use that $. You can hear the music from the classroom word for word in the women's locker room. Is that really necessary?

Also, if you have a program through your insurance where they pay for a portion of your dues if you go a certain amount of days, beware that your scan-in may not always count. The people at the FD have to be in a certain computer screen when you scan your card, or it's like you were never there. I found this out the hard way.

You are prob wondering why am I still a member after over 3 1/2 years? I wonder too. You get what you pay for. But once in a while when you are on a piece of equipment that isn't broken, when there is no class being taught, and no one is on their cell phone near you, it is not terrible. Here's to more of those days before I quit. 1.5 stars rounded up.

Great affordable gym. Reasonably clean and never too crowded. Not a lot of olympic lifting equipment, but basically everything else you would need.
